Motorola Moto G Play (2021)

Motorola has just unveiled four new budget mobile phones namely Motorola One 5G Ace, Moto G Power, Moto G Stylus, and Moto G Play. This blog post is about the Motorola Moto G Play which is the very cheapest model of the recently introduced mobile phones. Thus, it is far from suitable for all users. Of course, the specifications of a smartphone are very important.
That future mobile phones in the same series in the future will have the same name as the previous model will only lead to confusion for the consumer. There is a risk that you order a different smartphone than you have thought and if you have ordered the mobile and want to order a mobile case, there is a risk that you order one that does not fit. So another wrong model.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play has a plastic chassis, a large display with a teardrop-shaped flap, and relatively thin frames around the display. As usual with mobile phones in this price range, the hook is unnecessarily thick. The mobile phone has a headphone jack and a rear fingerprint reader. The camera module on the back of the plastic is square and there are two camera lenses.

The 6.5-inch display is of the LCD type and has an aspect ratio of 20: 9 with 729 × 1600 pixels. The pixel density thus ends up at 270 ppi (pixels per inch). As expected given the cheap price, the display is far from as sharp as it is with the flagship mobiles and whether the quality of the display is sufficient is determined by how you usually use your smartphone. If you mostly use it to make calls and not watch streaming movies or play mobile games, it may be okay.
The processor is an eight-core Snapdragon 460 processor at 1.8 GHz and it is a weaker type of processor that is absolutely unable to run more technically demanding mobile games, so if you get this mobile phone for someone who would like to play mobile games because it can not perform such demanding tasks.
The RAM memory is 3 GB and the internal memory is 32 GB, which is at least for today's smartphones. I usually recommend a RAM of at least 4 GB and an internal memory of at least 64 GB with that said there are a small number of people who could do with less and it is people who exclusively use their mobile phone as just a phone. That is, use it to make calls and not much more. Modern smartphones have so many more uses but not all use all the technically possible features of a mobile phone.
The front camera lens is only 5 Megapixels (wide-angle lens) and on the back is a camera lens of 13 Megapixels (wide-angle lens) and a depth sensor of 2 Megapixels. The cameras have PDAF and LED flash. The camera quality is hardly approved, but you can hardly expect top quality with budget mobiles like this. The Motorola Moto G Play is just a simple base model developed primarily for the lighter user with a small wallet.
The battery is 5000 mAh and is probably the biggest advantage of this mobile phone. The large battery in combination with the weaker than and not at all very sharp display leads to very good battery life. The lighter user can last two to three days on a single charge.
The Motorola Moto G Play costs 170 dollars, which corresponds to approximately 1,500 kronor excluding VAT, with VAT landing a theoretical price tag of approximately 1,900 kronor. For the same cost, you can get a Xiaomi Redmi 9 and it has a sharper display, more RAM, and more built-in memory while the battery size is even slightly larger.
